A Note From the Principal

August 16, 2026

Dear Piney Woods Elementary Families,

What an exceptional first three days at PWE! I could not be more excited about the year ahead and all the opportunities waiting for our Wildcats.

We also have much to celebrate from last year! PWE made tremendous academic growth, moving from a D to a B rating with a distinction for being in the top 25% for comparative academic growth among Texas elementary schools. This achievement reflects the hard work of our students, teachers, staff, and families. We are incredibly proud and remain committed to ensuring Every Student Grows.

As we look ahead, we will continue cultivating exceptional people through strong attendance, open communication, and encouraging support at home. One of the best ways to help is by talking with your child about what they are learning. Take a few minutes each day to ask questions, celebrate progress, and encourage them to share something new each day.

Thank you for partnering with us and trusting PWE with your Wildcats!

With gratitude,
Mrs. Hill
Principal, Piney Woods Elementary

The heart of every campus can be found in its front office staff! We are so grateful for the countless hours, parent phone calls, problem-solving, and genuine care this incredible crew has poured into making our first week with students a success. Back to school simply wouldn’t happen without a strong, dedicated support staff. We appreciate you more than words can say!
