Harrison Gillaspy

Harrison Gillaspy  began his career  in education working as an elementary Physical Education teacher in Fort Worth ISD. He then transitioned to the Houston area and became a secondary PE teacher and football coach in New Caney ISD. After three years in New Caney, he came to Splendora ISD and taught Social Studies at Splendora Junior High. He then took a role in Splendora as the After School Activities Coordinator where he created a district-wide after school program from the ground up.  

Mr. Gillaspy attended Texas Christian University (TCU) where he received a Bachelor's Degree in Kinesiology with an emphasis on Physical Education. While at TCU, he was a member of the football team and played the positions of fullback and linebacker. He graduated from TCU in 2017. He completed his Masters of Educational Administration from Lamar University in June of 2023.

Mr. Gillaspy and his wife have one daughter who was born April 2023. He and his family enjoy volunteering at their church, going for walks, and hanging out with family.

Laura Wildman

Laura Wildman has been a dedicated educator at Splendora ISD since 2009. For the past six years, she has been serving as the Director of Professional Learning and Curriculum. Before this, she was the Instructional Specialist at Piney Woods Elementary and taught at Splendora Junior High, Peach Creek Elementary, and Splendora Intermediate School.

Mrs. Wildman received her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Oklahoma State University in 2008 and a Master’s in Educational Leadership from Stephen F. Austin State University in 2010. She is also a devoted wife and the mother of an 18-month-old daughter, Blakely.

Laura Wildman expressed her excitement: "I am truly honored for this new opportunity to serve as the Assistant Principal of Piney Woods Elementary, and I am grateful for my experiences in Splendora ISD." She looks forward to embarking on this new journey and is humbled by the opportunity to serve the community, staff, families, and students.

Alice Henson

 

Alice Henson

Alice Henson is excited to be back with PWE! Some may already know her, but for those who don't, Alice has been in education for 16 years. She has taught 2nd, 3rd, and 4th grades, and also served as a 3rd-5th grade math interventionist. She earned both her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees through Lamar University and completed her principal certification there as well. She is currently studying for the certification tests. Alice is married to her best friend Duke, and they have two grown sons, Ancel and Cody, along with their fur babies Flask, Sky, and Brandi.

Outside of work, Alice and her family love to travel, hike, kayak, and spend time together. She looks forward to serving as the Math & Science Instructional Coach at Piney Woods.
