Students should be dropped off at the side entrance of the school (Entrance G). Drivers should enter and exit Entrance G. School opens at 7:50 am and doors to the drop-off line close at 8:35 am. After 8:35 am, students are counted tardy and must be dropped off at the front of the school.Remember that if you want your child to have breakfast, they need to be at school in time to eat and still make it to class by 8:35 am.
Changes in transportation will be accepted until 2:30 p.m. and must be in writing, either a handwritten note from the parent/guardian or an email to kkuykendall@splendoraisd.org. For student safety and security, no phone calls will be accepted for transportation changes.
Should a student need to be checked out of school early for a doctor's appointment, etc., the student must be checked out BEFORE 3:30 pm.
Due to safety issues and traffic flow, after 3:30 pm, students MUST be picked up through the car rider line.
Piney Woods Elementary Car Rider Pick-Up Route

► Car riders must be picked up at the side entrance of the school (Entrance G). Please follow the line to the pick-up area, and your child will be waiting there to tell you about their day. Bus and daycare riders are loaded in front of the school, so that area is off-limits to car rider pick-up.
In the afternoon, enter Entrance G off FM 2090. (In the morning, you may enter Entrance H off FM 2090.)
Do not exit your vehicle. A staff member will help your child into the car.
At dismissal, a staff member will make their way out to your car and start calling students' names.
At 3:45 pm, pull around to the 3rd square on the building and stop.
If you arrive for pick up BEFORE 3:45 pm, please stop before the crossover driveway and wait.
Pass the crossover driveway, continue to the tree line, and turn around.
Stay to the right of the driveway.
Have your car rider tag out and ready to show the staff. You need to have a car rider tag, or you will be asked to pull out of the line and pick up in the front office.
